is much more than a collection of stunning watercolor paintings-it is also a visual expression of the joy inherent in the present moment and in the reverence for life. Through the paintings reproduced in the pages of her book, Pacific Northwest watercolorist Sibyl Sanford reveals the very special way in which she relates to the world around her.
Her award-winning work has been selected for many regional and national exhibitions, and she is a signature member of the Northwest Watercolor Society. Her paintings can be found in private collections in North America, Europe, and Australia.
In addition to being an artist, Sibyl is also an accomplished musician, having played the piano all her life. She is an ardent supporter of the arts in her home town of Bellingham, Washington.
Beginning in early October, visit our Readings Gallery for a visual explanation of "how to grow a book," which is a special presentation of working sketches and planning layouts that Sibyl used in developing her book, Painting the Spirit Within. On display early October through November.
