HELP SAVE THE FAIRHAVEN PARK CARETAKER'S HOUSE AND GARDEN!
The Bellingham City Council recently granted local nonprofit group CLSR (the Center for Local Self-Reliance) a long-term lease of the Fairhaven Rose Garden Caretaker's House and grounds. CLSR's goal is to renovate the house to offer gathering spaces and a teaching kitchen where food preparation and preservation can be taught. In addition, the former rose garden will be transformed into educational gardens where community members of all ages can learn gardening and other self-reliance skills while creating a beautiful gateway to Fairhaven. Fundraising and restoration efforts have commenced.
