Holland Days in Lynden
Get ready for another great tradition in Lynden. May 2nd and 3rd, Lynden will host the annual Holland Days where the city's main street is closed during the daytime for various vendors, dancing all kinds and age groups and tons of fun. The Holland Days festival, Lynden’s traditional celebration of its Dutch heritage, will include a more international look this year.
“Lynden is very diverse,” said Gary Vis, director of the Lynden Chamber of Commerce, “more diverse than some people realize.”
About 17 percent of Lynden School District students are Hispanic. The county’s largest Sikh temple is south of Lynden.
This year’s Holland Days will include performances of traditional dances from around the world. So far, they’re expecting performers of traditional Punjabi, Chinese and Nordic dances.
